What we hear very often from parents coming to us for the first time is: "Oh, how I wish I had studied at such a school!" Or: "Why didn't we know

earlier for you?'

This event is organized with two goals:

The first one – to respond to the need of parents looking for the most suitable school for their children, by enriching the palette of possibilities in the city.

The second – to meet our personal need to share with the widest possible circle of people our experience in creating a different, inspiring and happy school.

CSU "Democratic Education Varna" is innovative and the only one of its kind in Bulgaria - it has no analogues either among public or private schools. We combine the concept of the democratic educational model with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The school community  functions on the principle of cooperation and meeting the needs of all (children, parents, teachers), as opposed to systems that function only and only through dominance and control.

This community was born 5 years ago as an initiative of a group of parents united by common values.

What did we want for our children?

- To grow healthy, close to nature

- To love to learn

- To grow in an environment without aggression

- To find out what inspires them

- To feel successful and satisfied here and now

- To be active creators of their lives and environment, not just people reacting to circumstances

- Set goals that resonate with their inner aspirations

- To find ways to achieve them

- To be good people who can live in peace with those who think differently

- To be sensitive to the needs of others and also to their own

- Not to stop because of fear of failure

- To develop their potential

 

What did we want for ourselves as parents?

- To be able to influence what happens in the school specifically with our children - including choice of curriculum, degree of freedom, free time, extra activities...

- Our children receive individual attention and an approach tailored to

their needs

- To be able to trust the school team

- Let's not do homework with them all weekend

- To see them blossom

- Let's be calm and happy

 

The school is currently successfully realizing this vision and growing rapidly. We have two educational buildings, in the midst of a magnificent forest, away from the city noise, close to the sea. The school team consists of 21 people, of which 13 are teachers. The youngest children in the school are 4 years old. In the upcoming school year, we are also accepting high school students for the first time in a class with intensive study of foreign languages - English and Spanish.
